Paralegal Technology
Dear readers, my name is Gabrielle Larose and I'm currently in my second year of Paralegal Technology in College Ahuntsic. This glossary will be to anyone who wants to learn the different work related glossary of Paralegal Technology. I will choose my several terms with the help of the internet and my own head. To help myself with the definitions I've used different online websites.
- Authentic act.
- Authentic act is a noun.
- A writing executed in accordance with law which requires that each party sign it before a public officer (as a notary public) and two witnesses and that the public officer and witnesses also sign it
- Example: The authentic act is a full proof of an agreement.

- Courthouse is a noun.
- A building in which a judicial court is held.
- Example: I've been once to Laval's courthouse to visit.

- Deposition is a noun.
- The process of giving sworn evidence.
- Example: This person is going to give their deposition.

- A document is a noun.
- A piece of written, printed, or electronic matter that provides information or evidence or that serves as an official record.
- Example: All file contain documents.

- A crime, typically one involving violence, regarded as more serious than a misdemeanor, and usually punishable by imprisonment for more than one year or by death.

- Example: One of the tasks of the paralegal are to prepare and provide answers to interrogatories.

- Judgment is a noun.
- .The ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions.

- A body of people (typically twelve in number) sworn to give a verdict in a legal case on the basis of evidence submitted to them in court.

- The general notion of research memos is that somewhere between the research per se and the writing of a dissertation or book about it, there's a need for short writings (500-1000 words) on specific topics.
